Katy McLean Gould
Katy McLean Gould is the Director of the Haywood Community College Small Business Center, an organization focused on increasing business startup and job creation through quality one-on-one counseling, educational seminars/workshops and informational resources. Growing up in a small family owned business, her passion for the entrepreneurial spirit and its role in community development runs deep.
Katy received her BS in Business Administration from Berea College, where she served as an Entrepreneurship for the Public Good (EPG) Fellow and her Masters of Entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University.
She currently serves on the Haywood County Tourism Development Authority board of directors and the WWBC Advisory Committee. Katy is a member of the SBCN Marketing Committee, Haywood Chamber of Commerce Business & Economic Development Committee, HCC Business Administration Curriculum Advisory Committee, and the Long’s Chapel Children’s Ministry Leadership Team.
Katy has been recognized as the Small Business Center Network Rookie of the Year, Haywood Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year, WWBC Bubbles Griffin Award recipient, NC Rural Center Microenterprise Partner of the Year and as a SBCN Innovation in Services and Collaboration award recipient.
