The WWBC Annual Conference is more than a conference - it is a movement to connect a powerful network of women entrepreneurs and emerging leaders who are shaping the future economic foundation of Western North Carolina. Participants represent true diversity, with a goal of engaging all groups of people in this important initiative to create positive economic change.

On August 7, 2025, we gathered in Hendersonville, North Carolina and celebrated resilience and recovery in Western North Carolina while celebrating the unfettered spirit of small business owners and entrepreneurs in the western part of our state. We heard from small business owners, community partners, and our keynote speaker, Kwame Anku, who shared his insights with a group of passionate, vibrant small business owners and community advocates.

Keynote Speaker

Kwame Anku

The Transformation Whisperer

Kwame Anku isn’t just a speaker—he’s a soul mirror.

Known as The Transformation Whisperer, Kwame guides audiences and leaders through deep, identity-level rewiring—where stories shift, spirits rise, and new realities unfold. With a gift for revealing what’s been hidden and naming what’s never been said, he helps individuals and institutions awaken their power from the inside out.

Kwame is a global investor, visionary strategist, and the Founder, Chairman & CEO of New Dawn Global, an innovative investment firm reshaping the future of capital by blending Digital Intelligence with human-centered design.

As the Founding Managing Partner of Black Star Fund, Kwame helped launch and scale some of today’s most culturally iconic—including Actively Black, Partake Foods, and CEEK—by leading with narrative clarity, founder alignment, and capital innovation.

For over a decade, Kwame has shaped multi-million dollar brands, recalibrated visionary founders, and sparked breakthroughs on stages from boardrooms to global summits across four continents. His signature message—“The stories we tell ourselves create the realities we live”—has transformed how leaders see themselves, their work, and the future they’re creating.

When he speaks, people don’t just take notes—they make new decisions.

Kwame’s work lives at the sacred intersection of identity, impact, and legacy. Through transformational keynotes, private immersions, and his forthcoming book It’s Time: Remixing Your Life, Love & Business From the Inside Out, he helps purpose-driven leaders build lives that feel as good as they look—and become as powerful as they were always meant to be.

A Stanford honors graduate and Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow, Kwame serves on multiple corporate, foundation and advisory boards. His voice has echoed from Harvard to SXSW to CNN—and through New Dawn, he is now architecting a bold new blueprint for wealth, innovation, and global transformation.
