Yvette Freeman is the owner of Red Angle Photography, based in Hendersonville, NC. Specializing in fine art beauty, maternity, family, and high school senior portraiture, as well as corporate headshots and branding, Red Angle Photography started out of Yvette’s lifelong love of photography.
Growing up, she always had a camera to take photos of family and friends, creating photo albums of her images. As an adult, she continued to photograph the people and places she loved, and always tried to find ways to incorporate photography into her work.
After working more than 10 years in non-profit communications, and 11 years in higher education publishing, she opened her photography business full-time in 2016, turning her hobby into her full-time profession. Within five years, she became an award-winning portrait photographer with 18 image competition awards.
A native of Winston-Salem, NC, and a magna cum laude graduate of Bennett College. Yvette is also the founder and publisher of The ENVOY, a print and digital magazine designed to educate and promote minority and women entrepreneurs, community members, and creative artists across the U.S. Published three times a year.
The ENVOY provides expert advice and tips on how to start-up, manage, and grow your business; a directory of participating business; and spotlight features on local and national minority and women-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, community members, and creative artists.
